The contest for the post of Congress President is now between Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor. Although Kharge’s victory is almost certain, Tharoor’s activism is making the managers restless.

He fears that his campaign for big change within the party may not cause any major upheaval. Tharoor has also sought the phone numbers of all the delegates.

After scrutiny of nominations, both the veterans left in the fray have started campaigning. Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday reached Kerala Bhavan and met senior party leader AK Antony.

Giving a big message to the party workers, Tharoor bowed his head after reaching the Diksha Bhoomi associated with Babasaheb Ambedkar in Nagpur. He also met party officials. Appealing to the office bearers to join, he said, ‘My voice is not the voice of one person.

Some are alone enough and some alone are enough. Earlier, Tharoor had given a big message by reaching Rajghat before the nomination and bowing his head at Gandhiji’s samadhi. He has also released the manifesto regarding the changes related to the party. Seniors associated with the party are now seen praising Tharoor behind the scenes.

They say that Tharoor is sure to lose but the professional manner in which he is contesting the elections has sent a new message within the party.

Party strategists believe that the way Tharoor has given his vision to increase the participation of youth and women in the party and prepare the party according to the needs of the 21st century, that factor should not connect people in elections. . Anyway, a section within the Congress party has been talking of change for a long time.
