In order to address the unprecedented increase in the demand for Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), the Ministry has decided to incorporate the facility to apply for PCC services in all online Post Office Passport Seva Kendras across India from Wednesday, 28 September 2022. .’

“This move will significantly add to the availability and earlier date of PCC appointment slots,” the ministry said.

The ministry further said, “The action taken by the ministry in extending this PCC application facility to POPSKs will not only help Indian nationals seeking employment abroad but will also meet the demands of other PCC requirements, such as education, long-term In case of visa, emigration etc.

Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) is issued to Indian passport holders if they have applied for residential status, employment or long-term visa or immigration. PCC cannot be issued to persons going abroad on a tourist visa.
