JUBA: Inter-communal violence killed 71 people Friday in South Sudan’s central town of Rumbek, the interim government and witnesses said.
Several witnesses told AFP that ethnic and community conflict was behind the latest outbreak of violence in the world’s youngest country, which won independence from Sudan in 2011.
