5G services are rolling out in India on 1 October. PM Modi will launch it at the Indian Mobile Congress. IMC is starting from October 1 and will run till October 4.
The wait for 5G is going to end soon. Next month i.e. in October, 5G services will be rolled out in India. Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has already given information about this. Now its date has also been fixed. Indian Mobile Congress is starting on 1st October and 5G service will be rolled out on this day itself.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will roll it out on October 1. Indian Mobile Congress had also made a tweet in this regard. However, the tweet has since been deleted.
Along with this tweet, he also shared a poster, on which information about its rollout was given. IMC 2022 is starting from 1st October and will run till 4th October.
5G services will start soon
Indian Mobile Congress is organized jointly by the Department of Telecommunication and COAI. After the 5G auction, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed that by October 12, 5G services will start in the country. At the same time, both Jio and Airtel have completed preparations for the 5G rollout. Both can rollout their service in October.
Jio is the highest bidder in the 5G auction. Airtel is also playing big bets regarding 5G services. Apart from these two telcos, Vi has also bought spectrum, but the company has not revealed the service rollout date. The company had clearly said that they will roll out 5G services according to the demand of the consumers.
Whereas Jio and Airtel’s 5G service will start in October. That is, you will get their plans and other details before Diwali. However, initially, companies will roll out 5G services in big cities only.
Services will be started in Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai first, which will be extended to other cities later. Jio has said in its 5G rollout plan that it will roll out 5G services across the country in the next two years.
Whereas, for 5G plans, consumers may have to spend more money than for 4G. However, telecom companies have not yet shared any concrete information regarding the 5G recharge plan.
