Young Gazans hope for peace in new year as war with Israel goes on

Young Palestinians have told the BBC they want a return to normal lives in 2024.

They said they want the war with Israel, which began after the Hamas attack on 7 October, to end.

Around 1,200 people were killed in the Hamas attack on southern Israel and a further 240 taken hostage.

Since then, more than 21,000 people have been killed in Gaza, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.
