The case of Capitol Hill violence in America has not yet calmed down. Former US President Donald Trump seems to be stuck over the death of the US Capitol Police officer. The police officer’s family has filed a lawsuit against Trump.
A day after the 6 January 2021 riots, the family of a US police officer filed a case against Trump on 7 January. Relatives of the American police officer’s death have alleged that Donald Trump had incited his supporters to violence that day.
A lawsuit was filed against Trump in US District Court in Washington on behalf of the family of police officer Brian D. Sicknick. He was reported to have died on January 7 at the age of 42 due to a stroke.
The family alleges that Trump deliberately incited the mob and guided the mob to attack those who opposed the attack. The lawsuit alleges that the violence resulted in the injuries and death of the police officer.
However, a medical examiner stated that Sicknick had not sustained any injuries during the attack on the US Capitol. Sicknick died of natural causes, but the violent events of 6 January likely played a role in his fate.
Let us tell you that during the process of officially making Biden the President in January 2021, a large number of Donald Trump supporters attacked Capitol Hill. Many global leaders termed it a ‘black day’ in the history of the world’s oldest democracy.
