Where We Are Going Today: Club Sandwich & Bowl in Jeddah

Few restaurants in Jeddah make delicious sandwiches, and Club Sandwich & Bowl is one of those not-so-hidden gems on Al-Ned Street in Al-Zahra district.

I came across this place while scrolling on TikTok for breakfast spots in the city, when videos of the venue popped up with glowing reviews of the food.

I decided to visit with a friend. As plant parents, we instantly fell in love with the place, as plants of all shapes and sizes adorned every corner of the restaurant and its tables. It definitely passed the vibe check for us. The rest of the decor is modest, and the restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating.

The menu features the usual breakfast staples, sandwiches, pancakes and a good variety of healthy bowl options.

On our first visit, we ordered the beef steak and egg sandwich, black coffee, berry chia pudding, a Spanish latte and berry pancakes.

The sandwich was excellent, with a generous filling and just the right amount of sauce, while the bread provided the perfect crunch. It was tightly wrapped and held together well without falling apart when picked up.

The berry chia pudding hit all the right notes, with a smooth, creamy and lightly sweetened chia base topped with sweet and tangy berries and crunchy almonds. The pancakes were equally appetizing; soft, fluffy, light and flavorful.

After such a good experience at the restaurant, I took my better half there a few weeks later. We ordered the beef steak and egg sandwich and the berry pancakes, along with a fresh glass of orange juice each.

The food was just as good as before, but the service was inconsistent. Our table was not properly prepared, and we had to request cutlery and tissues multiple times. Our order also arrived in batches rather than all at once, which slightly dampened the dining experience.

Our total bill across both visits was about SR200 ($53), which is standard for restaurants in this area. If the inconsistency of service is overlooked — perhaps it was just a one-off thing — the restaurant is worth visiting for its delectable food and scrumptious sandwiches.
