Three-time world champion, Brian Grubb, has reportedly become the first person in the world to combine drone wakeskating and base jumping, descending nearly 300m (984ft) above sea level.
Base jumping involves jumping from a fixed point – such as a building, bridge or clifftop – and using a parachute to descend to the ground. A wakeskate is used like a skateboard, without bindings.
Grubb started his journey on top of the sky bridge at a Dubai resort’s infinity pool.
He began by wakeskating 94m (308ft) across the rooftop pool, before leaping over the pool‘s edge into a 77-story base jump.
