US President Donald Trump gave a wide-ranging press conference on the Iran War at Mar-a-Lago on 9 March, where he told members of the press that the war would be over ‘very soon’, but is not over yet.
In earlier comments to the BBC’s US media partner, CBS News, the president said that ‘the war is very complete, pretty much’, but claimed later that, though ‘ahead of schedule’ the war was not yet over.
Trump added that he wants to ensure Iran cannot develop nuclear weaponry “for a very long period of time”.
