Shias again massacred in Afghanistan, 19 people killed and 27 injured in blast

A bomb exploded early Friday in a Shia-dominated area in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. 19 people died and 27 others were injured due to its grip.

Taliban-appointed spokesman Khalid Zadran said the blast occurred Friday morning in the Dashti Barchi area. The region is mostly inhabited by the minority Shia community of Afghanistan. No one immediately claimed responsibility for the blast.

According to reports, a suicide bomber blew himself up at an education centre in the Dashti Barchi area. Most of the dead and injured are high school students and girls. These children were preparing for the university entrance exam here. It is known as Kaj Higher Education Center, which prepares children for college entrance exams.

There have been several such attacks since the Taliban took power in Afghanistan a year ago. On the 23rd of this month, a car bomb exploded near a mosque in Kabul, killing seven people and injuring 41 others, including several children.

Black smoke enveloped the sky after the blast in the diplomatic area of ​​the city and gunshots were heard for several minutes. Spokesperson Abdul Nafi Takor said a vehicle laden with explosives was parked on the side of the road near the mosque and was detonated when the worshipers were coming out of the mosque after Friday prayers.
