Russian youth are taking this step to avoid being forcibly recruited into the Russian army following a new order from Russian President Vladimir Putin. A tweet posted on Twitter claimed that a Russian Reserve Army soldier broke his arm with a hammer to avoid being sent to the war in Ukraine.

This 38-second video is going viral on Twitter and other social media and has been retweeted by many people. In the video, a man is seen sitting without a shirt, asking his friend to break his hand. After this, his friend hits his hand hard with a hammer. A loud scream erupts from the boy’s mouth and breaks his hand. This video was shot in a low-light room.

The boy’s friend puts his hand on his eyes after hitting the hammer and leaves from there. Two women also come and see the hand of the injured person. Apart from this shocking video, another video also shows a man breaking a friend’s leg.

According to Firstpost, “how to break a hand at home” became the top trend on Google searches in Russia after Putin announced that he would send more troops to Ukraine. Russian airlines were asked to give tickets to the youth of war age not to leave the country. After this, the skyrocketing prices of tickets going out of Russia came to the ground.

According to Reuters news, thousands of people gathered by the Russian reserve forces have been found ineligible to go to Ukraine. These people have been sent back home.
