Local developer Damac Properties has awarded a roads and infrastructure works contract to a local company Proscape at its Damac Lagoons development in Dubai.
The deal is valued at over AED137m ($37.2m).
Located in the Dubailand area, Damac Lagoons covers are area of 4.45 square kilometres and involves the construction of 510 villas and townhouses along with other amenities such as waterways and fitness facilities such as rock-climbing walls, indoor snorkelling, kayaking and paddle surfing and bicycle trails.
The scheme has 93,000 square metres of lagoons with beaches. It is divided into clusters including Portofino, Venice, Malta, Nice, Santorini, Costa Brava, Marbella, Monte Carlo and Ibiza and is set for completion at the end of 2024.
Proscape’s scope of work includes the provision of construction, completion, testing, commissioning and maintenance of the roads and infrastructure services of the Nice, Costa Brava, and Portofino clusters, according to Damac.
MEED reported in November that Damac Properties awarded a contract valued at over AED273m ($74m) to China Nuclear Industry 22nd Construction Company for constructing villas at Damac Lagoons.
