LONDON: A Palestinian karate champion has died in hospital in Gaza of injuries sustained in an Israeli missile strike last month.
Nagham Abu Samrah, 24, who was in a coma, died in Al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital in Deir Al-Balah.
She was due to be evacuated to Egypt after losing her leg in the attack on Dec. 17, which also killed her sister. However, permission for her to be moved was not granted.
Abu Samrah’s death came on the 100th day of hostilities between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, after the Palestinian militant group launched an attack on Israel on Oct. 7.
