Global smartphone brand OnePlus on Friday said it is successfully set to develop the 5G technology ecosystem for OnePlus users in India.
The brand confirmed that its recently launched devices will also be 5G ready with eligible networks including Vi.
On Wednesday, Vodafone Idea (Vi) announced that it has partnered with OnePlus to make 5G smartphones user-friendly for Indians.
OnePlus 10T, OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 10R, OnePlus Nord 2T, OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite and Nord CE 2 have been used to test the 5G spectrum bands acquired by Vodafone Idea during the mega auction. This move by VI has been taken to make OnePlus one of the leading 5G brands in online channels in the Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 segment in the H1 of 2022.
This partnership announcement happened before India Mobile Congress 2022. Please note that this event is scheduled for October 1. On this occasion, PM Modi will launch 5G services in India.
Apart from OnePlus, Vi has said that it will continue to partner with various OEM brands to convert its 4G customers to upgrade their phones to 5G readiness.
The company said it is the best performer in 5G R&D and has been the fastest in the industry to bring 5G devices to consumers worldwide.

As per the recent Counterpoint India Channel Share Tracker Q2 2022, OnePlus has emerged as the leading 5G smartphone brand in online channels in the Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 segment.
