Mass grave of 440 bodies found in Ukraine’s Izyum: 17 Ukrainian soldiers

A mass grave has now been found in Izyum, Kharkiv, in the midst of the continuous conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Around 440 bodies are covered here in one spot.

The grave also contains the dead bodies of 17 Ukrainian soldiers. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky gave this information.

Russia invaded Ukraine on 24 February. After six months of Russian occupation, the Ukrainian army recaptured the city of Izum on 9 September. Wooden crosses are visible in the photos of the cemetery.

Kharkiv Region Investigating Officer Serhi Bolvinov, who is investigating the incident, told British broadcaster Sky News – some of these people died from airstrikes.

One of the city’s largest mass graves

The Chief Investigator of the Izum site said it was one of the largest mass graves in the city. Even before this, 200 mass graves were built just outside the Ukrainian city of Mariampol. The International Crime Court has sent a team of investigators and forensic experts to Ukraine for its investigation.

Russian soldiers wreaked havoc in Bucha

The Russian army had devastated Bucha at the beginning of the war in February. More than 400 dead bodies were found during the war in Bucha. According to Ukrainian officials, the Battle of Bucha was one of the fiercest battles of the war. Here thousands of people were killed by airstrikes and bombings in the city.

Ukraine says that the Russian military has committed more than 21,000 war crimes. It ranges from killing civilians to rape. During the war, the Russian commander ordered mass rape and massacre in Bucha. The commander had said – to kill all men below 50 years of age.

The Russia-Ukraine war continues. Many Ukrainian cities have turned into ruins. Mariupol’s condition has worsened. This city is 90 per cent destroyed. The Russian military claimed to have captured Ukraine’s largest port city, Mariupol. President Vladimir Putin also declared victory over the city of Mariupol. He said that we have liberated the city. Meanwhile, Ukraine has claimed that Russia has dug graves to bury civilians.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is once again in the news after the brutal murder of ordinary people in the Ukrainian city of Bucha. The Russian army is accused of killing 410 civilians in the city of Bucha.

Ordinary civilians have been crushed under the tanks. Mass graves have also been found here.
