‘Killed daughter…’ Girl Death in police custody not wearing hijab


A 22-year-old girl died in police custody in Iran. The police had arrested her for not wearing a hijab. The girl’s name is Mahsa Amini. From social media to the road, people are angry about this incident.

According to the news agency report, Amini’s family and social workers have described her death as ‘suspect’. Along with this, he has appealed for action and justice against those responsible. The mother of the deceased has said that her daughter has been killed. However, the police have denied the allegations of assault.

Let us tell you that Mahsa Amini was arrested when she was travelling with her family to Tehran, the capital of Iran. He was arrested by the police on Tuesday for not wearing a hijab. He died 3 days later (16 September).

According to reports, Amini went into a coma just hours after her arrest. Due to this, he was taken to the hospital. But the family says that Amini did not have any kind of disease, she was absolutely fine. In such a situation, Amini’s death is being told as ‘suspicious’.

It is not yet clear what happened between Mahsa Amini reaching the police station and going to the hospital. However, an Iranian TV channel monitoring Human Rights Violation has said that Amini had suffered a head injury.

On the other hand, pictures of Amini are going viral on social media, in which she is seen on a hospital bed. After the news of his death, a huge crowd gathered outside the hospital. After which the police tried to disperse the people. Some people were also seen raising anti-government slogans in anger.

Iranian journalist (@AlinejadMasih) has also shared a video on Twitter claiming how the police are forcibly holding Mahsa Amini and other girls and making them sit in the car.

There are allegations of torture by the police in the case. The family is demanding a probe into Amini’s death in police custody. But the police have denied the allegations. Police say that there has been no assault on Amini. Many more girls were also arrested that day. Amini was also one of them. When she was brought to the police station, she fainted.
