‘Joy and happiness’ in Israel after hostages release

Israelis shared their relief and joy after 20 living hostages were reunited with their families as part of a ceasefire deal that started on Monday.

Hostages Square in Tel Aviv is still decorated with flags and yellow ribbons hanging alongside images of the hostages that were taken just over two years ago.

The Israeli military has identified the remains of the four deceased hostages returned by Hamas yesterday, naming two of them as Guy Illouz and Bipin Joshi.

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum said it does not want to move on to the next stage of Trump’s peace plan until the remaining 24 deceased hostages are brought back to Israel.
