Damascus

Israel reportedly struck targets in the city of Damascus on Monday morning. Four Syrian soldiers were killed and four more were wounded.

Air defence forces have been activated in the Syrian capital against the attacks. It is being told that the sound of explosions was heard in the city. Earlier there was an attack two and a half weeks ago as well. Seven places were targeted in Damascus.

The military source says that at around 2.20 a.m. on Monday, Israel launched airstrikes from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, targeting some points around the city of Damascus. Syrian air defence forces retaliated by killing Israeli soldiers.

Israel has carried out hundreds of airstrikes inside government-controlled parts of Syria in recent years. Despite all this, Israel never takes responsibility for these attacks, nor does it discuss them. However, Israel has acknowledged that it targets targets of Iran-allied militant groups such as Lebanon’s Hezbollah, which has sent thousands of fighters to support Syrian President Bashar Assad’s forces.
