The first of several ceremonies for President Ebrahim Raisi and other officials killed in the helicopter crash was held today.
Mourners gathered around the victim’s caskets as the procession passed by.
The funeral ceremony began in the north-western city of Tabriz at 09:30 local time (shortly before 06:00 GMT). His body will then be moved to the religious city of Qom later on Tuesday, for another planned procession.
