Indian Railways to run 179 special trains for Diwali, Chhath Puja

After Dussehra, the festival of Diwali and Chhath is going to come. Because more people go to their homes on these festivals, Indian Railways has decided to run 179 special trains with 2269 trips.

This decision of the railways will provide great relief to the people going home before Diwali and Chhath. Also, there will be no need to worry about the confirmed ticket.

“This festive season, for convenience of railway passengers and to reduce the extra rush of passengers, Indian Railways is running 2269 trips of 179 special trains till Chhath Puja this year,” Railway Ministry said. ”

According to the information, these special trains will be run on different routes of the country such as Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Bhagalpur, Delhi-Muzaffarpur, Delhi-Saharsa etc.

  • Frequent and timely information on arrivals and departures of trains with platform numbers will be given.
  • “May I Help You” booths are kept operational at important stations where RPF and TTE will be available for proper assistance to passengers?
  • There will be medical teams at stations, ambulances are also available with paramedical teams.

It has been informed by the Railways that given these festivals, the security arrangements at the stations have been improved. Additional RPF personnel have been deployed at the stations.
