Between Friday and early morning Monday, Ukrainian authorities\u00a0said\u00a0that over\u00a0a dozen civilians\u00a0were killed and more than 70 others injured, including two children. Basic service disruptions were reported in over 270 towns and villages.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The attacks come amid harsh winter conditions in Ukraine and increasing humanitarian needs as\u00a0attacks last week\u00a0also disrupted services and led to several fatalities.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Near-daily attacks<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n

The region of Odesa\u00a0is particularly hit and\u00a0is\u00a0experiencing near-daily attacks, according to OCHA. On\u00a0Friday\u00a0an overnight attack targeting port infrastructure killed eight civilians and injured 27 others. Repeated strikes also knocked out power, affecting tens of thousands of people.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In addition, Dnipro,\u00a0Kharkiv\u00a0and Mykolaiv saw their energy infrastructure hit, with hundreds of thousands of people affected. A health facility and a school were also damaged in the attacks. Donetsk,\u00a0Kherson\u00a0and Zaporizhzhia also suffered casualties.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ukrainian authorities\u00a0told OCHA\u00a0that a warehouse storing humanitarian aid was damaged in the Mykolaiv region.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Aid appeal half funded\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n

In the Sumy region, some 40 people were evacuated to safer areas over the last three days, OCHA said. Meanwhile, in the Donetsk region,\u00a0nearly 330\u00a0civilians, including 50 children, were evacuated.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

All in all, since June,\u00a0nearly 150,000\u00a0people have been evacuated from front-line areas, including more than\u00a016,500 children\u00a0and over 5,000 people with limited mobility.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Humanitarian workers have managed to reach more than\u00a0700,000 people\u00a0near the front line with aid this year. However, funding gaps persist, leaving more than\u00a0one\u00a0million people without safe water and limiting access to protection and gender-based violence services.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s\u00a0$2.6 billion\u00a0appeal\u00a0for Ukraine is only half\u00a0funded, at\u00a0nearly\u00a0$1.4 billion.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
