So we have to get it right from the beginning,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He considered it necessary to launch a political process that includes all Syrians and which \u201cmust obviously be led by the Syrians themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Read a full transcript of the press encounter <\/strong><strong>here<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h2><strong>Services, public order and security<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The second challenge is to ensure that state institutions are operational, he said, with service delivery, public order and security being \u201cextremely important\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>On the humanitarian crisis, he said it was necessary to ensure that Syria receives \u201cimmediate increased humanitarian assistance\u201d for the population and for all refugees who want to return.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is extremely important,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n<div class=\"context-un_news_full_width_credit_caption type-entermedia_image media media--type-entermedia-image media--view-mode-un-news-full-width-credit-caption\">\n<div class=\"field field--name-thumbnail field--type-image field--label-hidden field__item\">\n<\/div>\n<p>Syrians celebrated the fall of the Assad regime last week, gathering in Umayyad Square in the capital, Damascus.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2><strong>End impunity and jump start the economy<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>As for the issue of economic recovery, he said \u201cwe need to make sure that this is resolved quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope to see a quick end to sanctions, so that we can really see a rallying around the reconstruction of Syria.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also considered it necessary that justice be done.
