{"id":3900,"date":"2022-09-20T05:20:39","date_gmt":"2022-09-20T05:20:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gulftimes.ae\/abu-dhabi-tenders-scada-and-data-centre-contracts\/"},"modified":"2022-09-20T05:20:39","modified_gmt":"2022-09-20T05:20:39","slug":"abu-dhabi-tenders-scada-and-data-centre-contracts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gulftimes.ae\/?p=3900","title":{"rendered":"Abu Dhabi tenders Scada and data centre contracts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company (ADSSC) has tendered two separate contracts for the development of an overarching supervisory control and data acquisition (Scada) system and a disaster recovery data centre facility.<\/p>\n<p>MEED understands the Scada system will monitor and secure a total of 267 pump stations, 53 sewage, wastewater and package treatment plants and 194 regulated flow monitoring points in Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n<p><iframe aria-label=\"Split Bars\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"218\" id=\"datawrapper-chart-ctEQ4\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/datawrapper.dwcdn.net\/ctEQ4\/1\/\" style=\"width: 0; min-width: 100% !important; border: none;\" title=\"ADSSC sewerage infrastructure\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The scope works for the Scada system includes the construction of a new command and control centre building in addition to the Scada hardware and software.<\/p>\n<p>The package will also entail security systems for electronic, information and operational technologies; communication systems; programmable logic controllers; cabling and human-machine interface systems in addition to field instrumentation devices.<\/p>\n<p>ADSSC expects to receive bids for the Scada system, \u00a0tender O-15042, \u00a0by 10 October.<\/p>\n<p>The disaster recovery data centre package, tender O-15212.1, is an infrastructure that is designed to recover and restore ADSSC\u2019s digital infrastructure and digital operations when its primary data centre becomes unavailable.<\/p>\n<p>ADSSC expects to receive bids for the planned disaster recovery data centre by 3 October.<\/p>\n<p>ADSSC has recently launched the procurement process for several other packages to boost its operations.<\/p>\n<p>It is expected to complete the <strong>prequalification process<\/strong> by end-September for the contract to design and build\u00a0a\u00a0<strong>treated sewage effluent (TSE) polishing plant<\/strong>\u00a0in Al-Wathba.<\/p>\n<p>More than 20 companies have submitted their statement of qualifications (SoQ) for the contract, according to a source close to the project.<\/p>\n<p>It is understood local and European engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors are among those who submitted an SoQ.<\/p>\n<p><iframe aria-label=\"Donut Chart\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"411\" id=\"datawrapper-chart-qARks\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/datawrapper.dwcdn.net\/qARks\/2\/\" title=\"Pre-execution projects in Abu Dhabi\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The TSE facility is expected to produce water for higher-end applications compared to TSE produced in a standard sewage treatment plant, as MEED reported.<\/p>\n<p>The TSE polishing facility is likely\u00a0to have a design capacity of 700,000 cubic metres a day (cm\/d), with the potential to expand this capacity to 950,000 cm\/d in a subsequent phase.<\/p>\n<p>ADSSC has also <strong>tendered two contracts<\/strong> for various wastewater network works in Abu Dhabi and Al-Ain.<\/p>\n<p>Bids are due on 27 September for the first contract, which entails construction works for wastewater connections in Al-Ain.<\/p>\n<p>The second package is for the rehabilitation and development of wastewater stations in Abu Dhabi.
