Doctors are concerned about the health of Britain\u2019s Queen Elizabeth and have recommended the 96-year-old remains under medical supervision, Buckingham Palace said on Thursday, with immediate family travelling to be by her side.<\/p>\n
\u201cFollowing further evaluation this morning, The Queen\u2019s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty\u2019s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision,\u201d the palace said in a statement.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.\u201d<\/p>\n
A palace source said immediate members had been informed and played down speculation that the monarch had suffered a fall.<\/p>\n
Family by her side<\/strong><\/p>\nAll of Queen Elizabeth\u2019s four children including daughter Princess Anne and youngest son Prince Edward are now at Balmoral Castle in Scotland with the British monarch, ITV reported on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Britain\u2019s Prince Charles and Prince William have also travelled to Queen Elizabeth\u2019s residence at Balmoral Castle in Scotland following the news.<\/p>\n
\u201cTheir Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall have travelled to Balmoral,\u201d a Clarence House spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan are also set to travel to Scotland, a spokesperson for the couple said Thursday.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be travelling to Scotland,\u201d the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
The couple, who are currently on a short visit to Europe, had been due to attend an awards ceremony in London on Thursday evening but have changed their plans to travel to see the queen, Britain\u2019s domestic Press Association news agency said.<\/p>\n
Politicians send well wishes<\/strong><\/p>\nThe previous day she had been pictured appointing Liz Truss as the country\u2019s new prime minister at Balmoral Castle.<\/p>\n
Truss said \u201cthe whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cMy thoughts \u2014 and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom \u2014 are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time,\u201d she said on Twitter.

Britain\u2019s parliament has Queen Elizabeth in its thoughts and prayers following news that doctors were concerned for her health, speaker Lindsay Hoyle said in parliament on Thursday.<\/p>\n
\u201cI know I speak on behalf of the entire House when I say we send all the best wishes to her Majesty the Queen,\u201d Hoyle said.<\/p>\n
BBC switches to rolling news bulletins<\/strong><\/p>\nNational broadcaster the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) interrupted its scheduled programming to switch to rolling news bulletins following the announcement that doctors were concerned for Queen Elizabeth\u2019s health on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The queen, Britain\u2019s longest reigning sovereign and the world\u2019s oldest monarch, has been suffering from what Buckingham Palace has called \u201cepisodic mobility problems\u201d since the end of last year.<\/p>\n
She has been forced to cut back on her public engagements since then and on Wednesday cancelled a planned virtual meeting with senior ministers after being advised to rest by her doctors.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
