She gained confidence, started exercising and discovered a passion for running.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Eighteen months ago, she could not run for longer than a minute.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Since then, Thurlby said she had completed the Worcester Half Marathon and is now training for next year&#8217;s London Marathon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Her experience is shared by Vicki Shattock, from Belbroughton, who has written a book about her own struggle to have health concerns taken seriously.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Shattock urged women experiencing persistent pain to trust their instincts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;You know your body better than anyone,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;If someone is telling you pain is normal and you know it isn&#8217;t, don&#8217;t let it go.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/cxj0ljzz1pj1o?at_medium=RSS&#038;at_campaign=rss\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As her health improved, the weight began to come off.
