resigned for \u200bpersonal reasons, and Hamid Bovard, chief executive of the government-owned National Iranian Oil Company, will be acting minister, state media said on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Mohsen Paknejad, \u200coil minister \u200cof the \u200bOPEC \u200cmember \u2060country since \u200bAugust 2024, \u2060resigned as the seven-month-old war between Iran and the US hasput pressure on the country\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n<p>Mehdi Tabatabaei, communications deputy in \u2060the president\u2019s office, told state \u200cTV \u200cthat Paknejad resigned for \u200bpersonal reasons \u201ca long \u200ctime ago\u201d and his \u200cresignation was accepted by President Masoud Pezeshkian at Paknejad\u2019s insistence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith acceptance of Mohsen Paknejad\u2019s resignation \u200cby Dr. Pezeshkian, Hamid Bovard has been appointed \u2060as \u2060acting oil minister,\u201d Tabatabaei saidearlieron Sunday, according to state media.<\/p>\n<p>Before news of his resignation, Paknejad was quoted by state media as saying \u201crevenues of the oil that we have sold are still coming and that \u200bwill continue \u200bGod
