There is a piece of great news for travellers going to Hong Kong. Hong Kong authorities have announced that travellers arriving in the city will no longer need to be quarantined in hotels.
The government there says that they want to open the city to global people after two years as the cases of Corona are almost over.
City officials say arriving passengers will no longer need a negative PCR test within 48 hours before boarding a plane to Hong Kong. Instead, they will be required to submit a negative COVID-19 result from a rapid antigen test done 24 hours before their flight. These rules will come into effect from Monday.
Must undergo home monitoring
However, passengers travelling to Hong Kong from Monday will have to undergo home monitoring for three days. If they test negative for COVID-19 after three days, they will be allowed to go to places like restaurants and bars.
Let us tell you that Hong Kong has relaxed its rules for almost two years. In Hong Kong, people were not allowed to go to any bar or restaurant if they did not follow these rules.
The passengers were required to complete the mandatory quarantine period in designated hotels. At the same time, at one time there was a compulsion of quarantine for 21 days, the highest in the world.
