Gpay, PhonePe and Paytm sent money wrong place, how you can get back

NEW DELHI

The number of users making digital payments is increasing. UPI-based Google Pay, PhonePe and Paytm are mainly used for online payment at all these places. All these platforms transfer instant money. However, if you have transferred money to the wrong account, Gpay, PhonePe and Paytm are not responsible as they are all third-party platforms.

In such a situation, the question arises if the money has been transferred to the wrong account, then how can it be recovered? Let’s know about this in detail.

  • In case of a transfer of money to the wrong account, the first thing you should do is mail the concerned bank. Usually, such cases are settled by mail. But still, there is no solution, then you have to go to the bank branch. Also some documents have to be given. After this, the bank manager can get a money refund in the bank by replying.

  • According to the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), if you have mistakenly transferred money to the wrong account, then complain to the bank as soon as possible, so that the money can be refunded to the bank within 7 to 15 days.

  • According to the rules, if someone spends the money sent on your behalf or transfers it to another account, in that case also you will be given a refund. Same if the balance of the person who spent the money will be made negative.

Note – Please tell us that the refund will be returned only in that case when you inform the bank about your wrong UPI transfer on time.
