Fires raged across the Yemeni city of Hudaydah following a series of strikes by the Israeli Air Force on Sunday.
Video shared on social media showed a huge explosion at the city’s port, while footage recorded by Houthi-controlled Al Masirah TV captured fires blazing at the Al-Hali power station.
The Israeli Air Force targeted power plants and a seaport “which were used by the Houthis to transfer Iranian weapons to the region”, the Israeli Defense Forces said in a statement posted on X.
The strikes came a day after Houthis launched a missile attack on Israel’s Ben Gurion airport, close to Tel Aviv, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was arriving.
The Houthis are an an Iranian-backed rebel group based in Yemen, and considers Israel an enemy.
