Final four set for World Masters of Snooker semi-finals

RIYADH: The four semi-finalists are preparing to face each other as they bid to progress to the final round of the World Masters of Snooker Championship.

It is the first time a professional tournament has been held in Saudi Arabia and it features a unique concept called the Riyadh Season golden ball. This is worth 20 points and can be potted by players who make the sought-after maximum 147-point break.

In Wednesday’s semi-finals, Mark Allen of Northern Ireland — ranked third in the world — will face Luca Brecel of Belgium, who is ranked fourth.
