Danger on Earth, NASA will collide with asteroid tomorrow morning





Tomorrow is the day Tuesday. Dated 27-09-2022. Around five o’clock in the morning, NASA’s DART mission will attack Didymos and its moon-like stone Dimorphos.

DART mission means Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART). The purpose is to change the direction of the spacecraft by colliding with the asteroid. If this mission of NASA is successful, then in future the dangerous asteroids coming toward the Earth will be stopped. Or their direction will be changed.

  1. What is Dart Mission?

    Dart Mission Didymos will collide with the asteroid’s moon Dimorphous. Dimorphous will go and collide with Didymos. In this way there will be a change in the direction of both. If the direction changes, there will be a big achievement. This spacecraft will hit the asteroid at a speed of about 24 thousand kilometres per hour.

    Just before the collision, he will also study the atmosphere, soil, stone and structure of the asteroid Didymos. Kinetic Impactor Technique is being used in this mission. That is, an attempt is being made to change the direction by colliding with the spacecraft.

  3. What are the asteroid and the size of its moon

    Didymos have a total diameter of 2600 feet? Dimorphous revolves around it. Its diameter is 525 feet. After the collision, the changes in the direction and speed of both stones will be studied.

  5. Why is NASA doing this mission?

That is, if any of these falls on the earth, then it can completely ruin any one state of America. The terrible tsunami that hit Japan in 2011, which fell into the sea, can cause a major disaster.

    NASA has assured that not one of the 8000 stones revolving around the earth will hit the earth for the next 100 years. But you cannot trust anything in space. It is not good if the direction of an asteroid changes anytime due to speed, collision, gravity or any other reason.

  2. Licia Cubes will keep an eye on DART

    Light Italian CubeSat for Imaging Asteroids (LICIACube) is also going on all the activities of the DART spacecraft. During the collision, this vehicle will pass close to the asteroid so that it can take photos of the collision.

  3. Vehicles cannot collide at high speed

    Cannot collide spacecraft with dysmorphic at high speed. The danger with this is that instead of colliding with Didymos, it can leave in some other direction in space. This will fail the mission. If there is a change of one-degree angle in the position of the dimorphous, that is, its speed and direction will change.
