President Donald Trump’s shifting deadlines for ending Iran war

Donald Trump’s first primetime address since the start of the Iran war on Wednesday evening left several questions unanswered.

He said the core strategic objectives of the US-Israeli military operation were “nearing completion” a month into the war, and projected it would last another two to three weeks.

The BBC’s Chief International Correspondent, Lyse Doucet, pointed out that the US president’s deadlines have “always been fluid” and that his address did not provide much clarity.
