Pakistan PM to visit China next week, to meet President Xi Jinping

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit China next week. He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be in it. In this sequence, Pakistani PM Sharif will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping. He will also hold delegation-level talks with Premier Li Keqiang.

Shehbaz is visiting China for the first time since he was made prime minister in April this year. In September, they met Xi in Uzbekistan. Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif will visit China on November 1-2. According to the information given by the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan, the Pakistani PM was invited by Chinese Premier He Li Keqiang. The ministry also said that the Pakistani prime minister is the first leader to visit China since Xi began his term as leader of the party for the third time.

“On behalf of the whole of Pakistan, I congratulate President Xi Jinping on his election as general secretary of the CPC for a third term. It is the result of his commitment and dedication to the country that he has once again been given this charge. Pakistan’s Foreign Office said Sharif’s visit to China reflected the deep ties between the two countries.
