BBC reporter: ‘First time I’ve come to Syria without fear of arrest’


A Syrian herself, BBC Middle East correspondent Lina Sinjab says this is the first time she has crossed into the country “without fear of detention, without fear of arrest”.

Earlier, she watched as civilians and rebels celebrated the fall of the Assad regime.

The BBC is the only UK broadcaster reporting from inside Damascus.
