Pakistan’s entry in Russia-Ukraine war: How geopolitics will change

At that time a video of Imran had gone viral, in which he was saying – ‘I have come to Russia at such a right time.’ Then Imran went against America and made friends with Russia. However, a few months later, Imran Khan himself was ousted from power.

Now same Pakistan is helping America and Western countries in transporting dangerous weapons against Russia to Ukraine.

Dangerous weapons were sent from Pakistan to Ukraine for 10 days

According to Geopolitica.info, from August 6 to August 15, i.e. for 10 days, a Boeing C-17A Globemaster III of the UK Royal Air Force was seen landing at the Pakistani airport.

The aircraft, with call sign ZZ173, used airspace in West Asia instead of en route through Iran and Afghanistan airspace to reach Ukraine and Romania. This aircraft is capable of carrying a load of 77,000 kg.

Not only this, in the report, many planes of the Pakistani Air Force have also been said to land at Romania airport. However, it is not yet clear what weapons are being sent in these planes.

Some experts definitely believe that 122 mm HE artillery shells and 155 mm artillery shells made in Pakistani Ordnance Factory are being sent to Ukraine through these aircraft.

155 mm artillery shells are used in howitzers. These RDX-filled shells are capable of destroying their targets at a distance of about 23 km. According to the bomb-shell maker MSM Group, it is used by the military of 18 countries of the world.

Similarly, 122 MM HE shells are used to shoot down targets up to a distance of 15 km. The army of more than 60 countries uses this shell.

How Pakistan’s policy regarding Ukraine changed

After the start of the Ukraine war, Pakistan was diplomatically close to Russia and China. After this Imran Khan’s government fell in April 2022 and Shahbaz Sharif became the PM.

After this, on August 11, Pakistan Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa reached Britain. According to the report, during this time he not only met top officials of Britain but also met senior officials of Ukraine.

1. A few days after the visit, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba said, ‘Ukraine has got Pakistan’s support in the bad times of the war. There is a lot of potential in relations with Pakistan and this should be explored.
2. Pakistani-origin Ukrainian businessman Mohammad Zahoor bought 2 fighter jets for the Ukrainian government in the fight against Russia.
3. 3. General Bajwa is the first Pakistani Army Chief to be given the honour of being the sovereign representative of the Queen of Britain during the passing out parade at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
4. On August 20, General Michael Eric Kurilla, commander of the US Central Command and senior military officer, visited Pakistan. During this, the matter of security cooperation between the two came to the fore.

New signs of change in geopolitics globally

• The Presidents of India, China and Russia did not attend the UNGA meeting which started on 20 September. While America also wanted the presence of PM Narendra Modi in this program.
• US President Joe Biden met Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif informally at the UNGA meeting.
• After the successful UK tour, now Pakistan Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa is going to visit America soon.
• Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov said, ‘Pakistan is sending weapons to Ukraine, we are investigating it.’ If this proves to be true, then Pakistan will have to face the consequences. This is being seen as a warning.
• China has been with Russia in this war and it expects the same from its debt-ridden Pakistan of more than 20 thousand crores. The US and China face to face with Taiwan. In such a situation, he wants Pakistan to stay away from America and Western countries.

• First: is the Financial Action Task Force’s responsibility for easing sanctions.
• Second: Responsibility to formulate a new geo-economic policy.
