The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) has teamed up with Dubai Health to ensure the health and safety of astronauts.

This partnership will focus on providing top-notch medical care to astronauts and boosting innovation in health sciences.

Salem Humaid AlMarri, Director General of MBRSC, stated that the new agreement will guarantee astronauts receive exceptional care before, during, and after their missions.

Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health, highlighted their commitment to astronaut health by offering quality healthcare, thorough medical assessments, and monitoring during space missions.

The collaboration will include detailed health checks for astronauts before their missions, including medical examinations and screenings to ensure fitness for space travel.

They will also develop training programmes to prepare astronauts for health emergencies and integrate health data for better care.

Additionally, both organisations will work together to advance medical technologies and methodologies related to space healthcare.
