Will UP decide the path of Nitish Kumar’s mission in 2024? Indications of contesting from which seat

NEW DELHI

It is said in politics that the road to Lok Sabha passes through Uttar Pradesh (UP). It seems that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has also made up his mind to adopt this mantra.

There are reports that Nitish Kumar has made up his mind to fight with UP in the 2024 elections. There have been indications of Nitish contesting the next Lok Sabha elections from either Phulpur or Mirzapur seat of Prayagraj.

The words of JDU National President Lalan Singh have also given fuel to this political speculation. Along with this, it has also become clear that even though Nitish declares himself out of the race for the post of PM, his preparations are going on inside.

Lalan Singh said this thing

Significantly, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is in active mode regarding his mission 2024. Since leaving the BJP in Bihar, he has met many big leaders of the opposition in Delhi. On the other hand, JDU national president Lalan Singh said something on Saturday which has created a stir in political circles.

Although Lalan Singh did not explicitly say that Nitish would contest the election, he did not deny it either. Lalan Singh said that he has offered to contest from many seats in UP. He said that the party workers of Phulpur and Mirzapur also want Nitish to submit his claim from there. Now it is on the wish of the CM from where he will contest.

The historical seat is Phulpur, caste equation is like this

Let us tell you that Phulpur is considered to be a very high-profile seat in Uttar Pradesh. From here, India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was elected MP three times. Apart from this, many other big names have also contested for this seat. At present, BJP MP Keshari Devi Patel is the MP from here. If Nitish contests from this seat, he will also get the benefit of the caste equation. Out of the total 18 lakh voters in the Phulpur seat, 17 per cent of voters belong to Patel (Kurmi) community. If SP supports him, he can also get the support of Yadav and Muslim voters.

If Nitish contests from Phulpur, he can also influence Varanasi, about 100 km from here. At the same time, Mirzapur is also adjacent to Banaras. Significantly, PM Modi has won both the last elections from Varanasi. In such a situation, Nitish can try to spoil the game of the BJP by claiming the seats close to him. Significantly, Nitish has been continuously engaged in uniting the opposition for the past few days. In this episode, he met Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, Om Prakash Chautala, Arvind Kejriwal, Sharad Pawar etc.
