DUBAI: According to a spokesperson for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, a Flydubai flight traveling from the United Arab Emirates to Israel was diverted to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.
The spokesperson clarified that the incident is not being treated as a kidnapping, and emphasized that the diversion was not the result of hostile action.
The flight was seen by flight trackers to turn back over Saudi Arabia where it allegedly sent distress signals.
